With an inclination to massmedia, Simon has a keen interest in brand, events and production management. He has worked immensely with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Tourism KZN, Ithala Development Bank and Break Thru Dance Company. He is currently working as the Managing Editor of THISABILITY, a disability awareness tabloid, and has interest in film having been involved in the locally produced and directed film productions like The Puzzle, Kwaito Church Service and The Parasite.

I am an experienced editor, word coach and author with several published books of my own, including fiction, biographical narrative, young adult and children’s. This has given me an in-depth knowledge of both the writing process and the literary standards and conventions required. I worked for many years for UKZN Press publishers as a fulltime book editor, manuscript assessor and project manager, accompanying both experienced and novice authors on the journey to published success. I edit fiction, non-fiction and everything in between and also hold inspirational creative-writing workshops from time to time. My particular interest is in the healing power of story and its ability to reconnect us with personal meaning and the wider currents of life in which we are embedded.
